Hello home ownership! This is the first time in the last 5 years that I didn't have to search for an apartment in Denver. Ever since going to college in the Midwest and falling in love with the Denver sunshine, I feel like I have moved from one apartment to another year after year. Pack up, find a Uhaul and a couple of strong friends (male or female, I do not discriminate when it comes to helping me move to a new apartment) and a day or two later, you have a complete change of scenery.
Now, of course, the year I help start hubbuzz - an apartment search website, I decide to buy a home. No more Internet shopping for an apartment, instead, I found myself scouring the MLS. I can't speak to living in an apartment any longer, but I can talk about the neighborhood I live in.
Luckily I moved in the same neighborhood I was renting in, so I already know a bit about it. It was the featured hubbuzz hood when we launched (Washington Park). If I was moving to a new neighborhood, I probably would not be able to speak to anything inside of it, only because I feel as if I never leave my house. It is so much work! We've been there over a month now and we still haven't unpacked all the boxes or put away all the clothes. I used to take walks around Wash Park and bike the Cherry Creek trail. I think I will pick that back up in August. Oh well - all the heavy lifting is certainly keeping me buff.
For more info on Washington Park check out the overview tab or the map tab - the map tab is where you'll find neighborhood hotspots. It will show you where the popular restaurants and bars are, where the shopping is and, of course, the park.
