…art is all around

Here in Englewood there's something for everyone, from young to…older than that.

The new CityCenter has ignited a welcome fire under Englewood. This mixed-use complex houses city hall, a library and lots of retail. There's also a health club, apartments and homes.

Hampden Hall at the Center also hosts theater, dance, art and sculpture exhibits. In fact, this city is so into "art appreciation," it encourages the display of public art all over the 'hood.

The city's free shuttle is actually called "art." Riders take this shuttle all over, connecting to the new CityCenter, medical facilities and downtown businesses (no parking worries). Innovative art has been placed at most of the stops along the route, and is for sale.

Ready for retro? The area also has one of the last standing drive-in movie theaters in Denver (a dying art). So, with the new light rail, it looks like Englewood is fast becoming a 24/7 city.
