At a recent show at the Bluebird I snapped this photo of a message written on a bathroom stall advertisement. It reads:
Elitisthipstersnob.com
Hipsters are douche
bags with no cause
or purpose, just total
idiots wearing American
Apparel
That brings up a good question, for a different post, What is the hipster cause?
Actually since I am out-of-touch, I was not familiar with ElitistHipsterSnob.com. After about 2.5 seconds of research though, I learned that Elitist Hipster Snob is no more and they are now the Donnybrook Writing Academy, a blog about music, film, things to do, but mostly birthday announcements for themselves, relatives, friends and all others deemed to be pretty big deals.
ElitistHipsterSnob.com became Donnybrook Writing Academy when they got too popular. Like all good hipsters, they had to switch it up. And like any good elitist, they claim to ignore the ‘facets of reality’. This is fun.
These Capital Hill kids are writers, photographers, artists and filmmakers and of course, they are better than me and you.
