CRAGear takes simple materials (i.e. climbing robes, bike tubes, maps) and transforms them into uncommon art. Their bracelets and keychains are made from climbing ropes that may have been used in a gym in Iowa or on an ascent of a mountain in Ecuador.
Tire picture frames are created from donated tires saved from the landfills and envelopes and greeting cards are made from recycled atlases and maps (and sometimes wallpaper sample books).
GRAGear so vehemently stands by their beliefs of preservation that their studio is outfitted with salvaged lights and wiring, shelves, cabinets, heating and cooling units to name a few. They use 100% post-consumer paper in their products, marketing materials and recycle their own printer cartridges.
