This year's resolution, in the health and fitness category, is to train for and complete a half marathon.
I was debating between doing the Colfax or the Rocky Mountain half marathons. Though I could probably use the extra month to train - the Rocky Mountain Marathon is on June 10th and the Colfax Marathon is on May 18th - I opted for the Colfax Marathon because if you register by December 31st, 2007, you receive a code that allows a friend to register for free.
Since I am doing the race with my sister and we live one block off the infamous street and we spend a good amount of time at Colfax establishments, the Colfax Marathon makes the most sense.
Registration for both races is $50 per person (unless you do the register a friend for free program with the Colfax Marathon).

Based on runner feedback and with expert help, the Colfax Marathon has redesigned the racecourses. They will have a single start/finish for the marathon and half-marathon (City Park), no hard hills at the end, more shade and great neighborhood diversity. There is no net elevation gain. The race is along Colfax Avenue as it runs through City Park, Congress Park, Capital Hill, Lodo, Sloans Lake, Barnum and Lakewood (and back again).
