Broncos Monday Night Football at Invesco

The blue and orange (and a substantial amount of yellow and green) were out in droves last night for MNF on ESPN. Unfortunately it wasn’t a win for the Broncs but it couldn’t have been a better night for football.

Being that my husband and I live a couple 'hoods away from Invesco we decided to avoid the parking mayhem and ride our bikes.  I have to say it was a brilliant idea; we just swooped past everyone and slipped into our seats.

It was my first time watching the Broncos play at Invesco and it was magical (wow did I just write that?)! There was so much energy I couldn’t help but get so intrinsically involved in the game.  Seated 8 rows from the end zone I could see the sweat drip from the helmets of the offensive line (ok that might be a slight exaggeration but we were sooo close).

What a game it was…a last second field goal to take the game into overtime. It was a madhouse, the fans were screaming and chanting waving orange pom poms and yellow cheese heads each hoping their team would win. In a matter of moments a green and gold guy was running into an end zone and the game was over.

It was such a sad ending to such an exciting game and to such amazing seats. I’m still mourning the loss today. But as any true athlete would say, “let’s regroup and prepare for the next match-up”. Go Broncos!
