…where is everybody?

Polytechnic Heights—along with Morningside across Riverside Drive—is the actual name of the area on the southeast side of Forth Worth, but to locals, it’s much easier to say “Poly.” That is, if we could find the locals.

We know they’re here somewhere—historic Burge Hardware, a neighborhood landmark established in 1913, is still open, and Texas Wesleyan University is in session all year. There are some people on Rosedale, the main street, but not as many as we thought for a college town—maybe they’re hittin’ the books 24/7?

So it’s up to you then, to add to the area, which went from middle-class in the '60s to mostly African-American in the '80s and now is mixed with a Hispanic population. So go, enjoy! Spice things up, check out the local shops and restaurants—and report back to tell us about the hotspot where everyone’s hiding out.
