…fast-growing, small-town, mid-city

Keller is the fastest growing of the Quad Cities, with 400 new homeowners per year (some of whom are moving into Keller apartments) and an influx of businesses and services to take care of all these folks.

Though the Keller of the 1800s was a modest town along the Texarkana rail line, the area is now blossoming into an upscale suburb. Take the Town Center, for example—it’s a very modern, mixed-use complex with residences, retail, office space, and the Keller Pointe Recreation and Aquatic Center for indoor and outdoor recreation.

Speaking of which, Keller residents take their recreating mighty serious. Folks here like to say they take “a backseat to no one” when it comes to sports. With seven parks, over 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, in-line hockey (what else, in a place where the average temperature is 65 degrees?), soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball and just about any other sport you can think of, they mean business.

Yet Keller hasn’t left its small-town quality in the past. We dare you to try walking through the eclectic shops and restaurants of Old Town Keller without someone sayin’ “howdy” as you walk by.
