Forest Hill

..."community driven"

Forest Hill has a history of thinking big. In 1949, when the population passed the 500 mark, they formally changed their status from a village to a city. A few years later the citizens purchased their water system from the Texas Water Co. and turned it into an independently-run network. Progressive planners, right?

An ambitious past is fortunate for Forest Hill. Since the 1970s their community growth has been one of the fastest in North Texas. Inspired by the possibilities, the city government is aggressively trying to change the city's less than stellar image and rep with positive social and economic goals.

Still, Forest Hill is close to the buzz of downtown Fort Worth, and an important resource along the I-20 corridor. It's worth a second look, because this diverse middle- to lower-income area offers affordable homes, community commitment, low crime and the high road to a stable future.

Plus, if you need someone to talk to, the Forest Hill mayor invites you to contact him “any time.” Go for it.
