…please, don't call it a city

There's a flower in Texas' midst. Well, actually, a 12-and-a-half acre, 50-ft.-high mound rising up from otherwise flat land. It's a natural phenomenon filled with…you guessed it… wildflowers and grasses.

North of Dallas and Ft. Worth, this 'hood's a study in contrasts. For example, up north you'll find quiet, horse-grazing pastures and modern neighborhoods. West and south are rolling hills, woods and contemporary architecture near the center of town.

With over 57,000 people, Flower Mound's one of the fastest growing cities (but they prefer to be called a "town"). It enjoys a low tax rate, great schools and safe neighborhoods. Land can be had at reasonable prices. ..no wonder it's in the middle of a housing boom.

There's something for everyone: Large malls and outlet stores satisfy the retail athlete, while Lake Grapevine and Lake Lewisville provide opps for fishing and boating; beautifully maintained parks are linked to neighborhoods, with trail systems for walking, jogging and cycling.

It's close to the buzz of Dallas-Ft. Worth, and far enough away to de-stress and relax. And, it's just 10 minutes to the DFW airport, so the rest of the world is reachable

Flower Mound-ers like to think of themselves as a small town with big "city" opportunities. They are. But don't tell them we used the "c" word.
