…the good life, and close to everything

Eighty years ago, the land sitting four miles southwest of Fort Worth was occupied by a dairy farm.

A few years later, plots were laid out for rolling estates featuring large Colonial, Tudor, and Spanish-style homes, and a few years after that came the famous Colonial Country Club (which now hosts an annual PGA event).

At the time, the area was plain-ol’ suburbs. But now, the Colonial, including nearby Bellaire, neighborhoods present that perfect combination of large yards and tree-lined streets in close proximity to a major metropolitan downtown. The fabled dairy farm (a source of local historic pride) has been replaced by fine dining establishments, upper-end shopping and some excellent public and private schools.

If you can manage to drop in among the tree-lined streets and get your hands on one of these stately homes, we recommend going for it…and don’t forget to study up on the local history.
