…just 16 miles southeast of Dallas

We hate to say it, but there just ain’t too much goin’ on in this small Dallas suburb…not that there’s anything wrong with that!

Not every town can rock and roll, and Balch Springs does have its positives. A major selling point is its proximity to just about every major freeway and highway heading east from Dallas. Housing prices are attractively low here (the price you don’t pay for suburban living!), and some might joke that Balch Springs has an impressive number of on- and off-ramps for a town of 20,000 people.

If you are searching for a decidedly low key environment, where the one item of historical note has been the changing of the town’s name from Zip City to Balch Springs (and you can fill some of your time debating the merits of that decision), then head on down pretty much any East-bound road with a number on it and stake your claim in this Dallas suburb, named for the springs that never run dry.
