This rough 'n tough charmer has survived the Gold Rush, oil boom, wagon trains…and it still looks good (wish we could say the same after a long night). This is where louts and ladies alike went to entertain themselves over 100 years ago. Yet these days, instead of swingin' saloon doors and hidden brothels, the respectable citizens of Old Colorado City amble on to independent cafes, restaurants, galleries, boutiques and specialty shops.

Historic buildings along Colorado Avenue between 21st–31st Streets provide the perfect backdrop for a daytime stroll or night on the town, and small cottages offer cozy dwellings.
