Place an airport (Colorado Municipal) and a couple of Air Force bases (Peterson and Schriever) on lush land less than 15 miles outside of Colorado Springs, and what do you get? The three communities of Fountain Valley, of course. The well-manicured triplets, Security, Widefield and Fountain, provide stable ground for many brave and wingéd U.S. Air Force personnel.

Out of the three, Security is the go-to hub for retail, Widefield is mainly residential, and Fountain was named "Millennium City" by the New York Times in 1999 for its missile-accurate representation of America's melting pot.
