The Festival of Lights in Colorado Springs is this Saturday, December 1st. The parade starts at 5:50 p.m. in Downtown Colorado Springs on the corner of Tejon and St Vrain Street and will go south on Tejon to Vermijo Avenue, turn west to Cascade Avenue and go north to Kiowa Street. This is an annual event that brings in over 80 entries and charms crowds of 100,000 people each year. Should you want to start your holiday giving early this year, bring a dollar to the event and hand it to one of the collection elves. Every dollar collected will be doubled. All proceeds go to the Empty Stocking Fund charity.
