…get in while the gettin’s good

The area just west of the Loop is on the verge of a major boom. Formerly full of warehouses and factories, several of these old buildings are being gutted and rehabbed into living spaces. In fact, new condos and lofts are popping up faster than you can walk to work from here—say, 10 minutes?

As people continue to move in, the now relatively sparse streets will fill up with restaurants, retail, businesses and more. For now, though, Randolph Street marks the heart of this community, offering a jumping nightlife and cool restaurants like Ina’s and de cero taqueria, while nearby you’ll find the high-rolling, “futurist” hotspot Moto.

One cool note about River West: developers say they want to maintain the integrity of the area, so all new construction will work with what’s already there. Good news for you—if you get in now, you’ll be able to see it all happen.
