If you live in the Chicago area, you’ve been to Schaumburg. If you’ve been to Schaumburg, you’ve been to Woodfield Mall, one of the largest in the U.S., and if you’ve been to Woodfield, you’ve been to one of only two IKEA stores in Illinois. And…if you’ve lugged your stuff out of IKEA and hauled it into your car, only to find that I-90 is littered with traffic, well, you’ve probably wondered why you didn’t just move to Schaumburg anyway.

At 75,000 residents, this village isn’t the most populated of suburbs, but it is one of the busiest. After Chicago, it’s the largest economic hub in Illinois, home to the Motorola headquarters and hundreds of other companies (and 9 industrial parks!).

Of course all that productivity begs downtime, and 80 miles of bike paths and an active, year-round arts center with a gallery and 442-seat theater provide merely two of a gazillion great outlets for workaholics.

Where to live? Check out the ranches, splits, new townhomes, condos and tons of Schaumburg apartments (complexes with multi-bedroom units). Not only are they less than 30 miles from downtown, accessible via train or car, but they’re also minutes from everything you need.

As the cliché goes, "it takes a village…"

Family Pizza Night at Barnaby’s Family Inn

To all the pizza fanatics in Chicago who like thin pizza its time to check out Barnaby’s Family Inn. My family and I love pizza, both thick and thin. Barnaby’s has that something special.
