…late-night celebrations near the Loop

Though most of the Greek Americans that originally settled here have moved to other parts of the city and beyond, this area still bears the strong Greek influence that it cultivated in the late 1800s. Opah! Heading down Halsted, you’ll have your pick of numerous Greek restaurants from high-class to high grease—both delicious—as well as a good number of bars and taverns teeming with people. Opah!

That’s one of the reasons why so many locals and tourists alike make the trek to Greek Town—this late night-loving ’hood seems to exude a celebratory vibe. Opah! Additional reasons are the 10-minute walk to the Loop and the fantastic skyline views, with housing at a moderate-to-moderately-high price range.

Oh, and in case you haven’t guessed yet, if you live here, it’s best you learn to appreciate spontaneous exclamations of Opah!
