One of Atlanta’s most evolutionary neighborhoods, Capitol View started as a sprawl of farm land, but now features a gentrified population, lofts and vintage homes built during the first part of the 20th century.

Capitol View is aptly named: This small and quiet southwest Atlanta ’hood provides a stellar view of the Georgia State Capitol building and its gleaming gold dome from the steps of the community’s Craftsman bungalows, Country Victorians, Cape Cods and Colonials.

The affordable real estate, nearby 50-acre Perkerson Park, local colleges and proximity to downtown draw Atlantans to Capitol View, which is bound by Metropolitan Parkway to the east, Lee Street to the west, the Beltline to the north and Arden Street, Deckner Avenue and the park to the south.
